DENTAL IMPLANTS

Regain Your Smile's Strength

Achieve a Natural-Looking Smile with State-of-the-Art Dental Implants

Dental implants are the gold standard for permanent tooth replacement, offering a natural-looking, stable, and long-lasting solution. At Buxmont Periodontics, we specialize in dental implant procedures, helping patients regain their smiles and enjoy the benefits of fully functional and aesthetically pleasing teeth.

Once placed, implants will take several months to completely integrate and be accepted by your body. Once adequate time for healing has taken place, you will be seen for a final check prior to being sent back to your regular dentist for your implant to be restored. Please keep in mind that the treatment plan that we form for you is just for the services that we render at our office and that your dentist will review their restorative treatment plans with you at their own office.

It is always hard to lose a tooth/teeth. We pride ourselves on our ability to make this process as easy as possible for you. The process starts with a consultation where we will discuss with you your history, concerns, and desired outcomes so that we can try to formulate a treatment plan that is optimum for you. This consultation will usually involve capturing a CT Scan (CBCT) so that we can accurately obtain a diagnosis as well as plan for your future surgical procedures. Our goal is to ensure that you are not only comfortable with your treatment but that you understand the treatment that you are receiving from start to finish.

Why Choose Buxmont Periodontics:

How Dental Implants are Done

There is no one size fits all treatment for replacing your teeth with dental implants. Based on our discussion and examination findings from your consultation visit, we will formulate a treatment plan to best address all of your needs. The following are some of the implant procedures that we offer at our practice:
This is typically a 2-3 step treatment plan. Your tooth will be extracted and the socket will be grafted with bone in order to maintain ideal conditions for implant placement. After adequate healing time, you will return for your dental implant to be placed. Once your implant has healed, you will return for a final check to ensure that your implant is ready to be restored by your referring dentist.
Placement of your dental implant at the time that your tooth is extracted. This allows for you to heal at once as opposed to the traditional approach which involves two phases of treatment/healing (extraction and then implant placement 3-4 months later). It will be determined at your consultation visit if you are a good candidate for this type of procedure or if the traditional approach is best for you.
Our approach to implant dentistry not only encompasses achieving a functional outcome but an esthetic outcome as well, particularly in the front of the mouth. In order to achieve esthetic outcomes, it will sometimes involve using a temporary implant crown, not only to fill the space when you smile, but to contour the supporting periodontal tissue so that your final restoration can appear as natural as possible. In some instances we are able to place a temporary restoration at the time of implant placement, however this is on a case by case scenario to ensure that there is minimal risk to your implant while it is healing.
In order to achieve accuracy, our office is proud to offer guided implant surgery. We will use state of the art, digital technology to simulate your implant surgery via software and fabricate a guide that will be used on the day of your implant surgery.
